Moves - Delivery Procedures, Revised

General Guidelines
All moves and any deliveries of items too large
to come through the lobby entrance must be conducted via the West 14th St
Service Entrance.
All moves and deliveries must be made via the
Service Elevator.
Use of the Service Entrance should be scheduled
in advance, at least 48 hours for deliveries or 72 hours for moves, and is
available on a first-come-first-served basis.
To accommodate items over 94" in length,
the roof hatch of the elevator must be opened and closed by a technician
from the elevator company, who is required to stand by for the period of
time the hatch is open, at a cost of $1754~pl us tax. The Superintendent
must be informed of any such items at least one week in advance so that
arrangements can be made with the elevator company. (It is recommended
that such items be concentrated into as few loads as possible to minimize
elevator company time in the building.)
Move Ins/ Move Outs
Moves are permitted Monday through Friday, 9:00
AM - 5:00 PM.
No moves are permitted evenings, weekends or
holidays.
No moves are permitted to begin after 1:00 PM.
Must use Service Entrance scheduled with the Superintendent
at least 72 hrs. in advance.
Require a refundable Damage Deposit check, in
the amount of $1 000 payable to Vermeer Owners, Inc.
Require a copy of the mover's or shareholder's
Certificate of Insurance, with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability coverage,
(and mandated Workers' Comp if from a moving company,) naming Vermeer
Owners, Inc. and Orsid Realty Corp. as additional insured parties.
Building Fee: $150/day
Building and Elevator Fees (if any) for Move Ins are billed to the
shareholder's maintenance.
Building Fees for Move Outs are payable in advance, to Vermeer Owners, Inc.
Elevator Fees (if any) for Move Outs are deducted from the Damage Deposit.
Deliveries
Deliveries are permitted Monday through
Saturday, 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Only food and drug store deliveries may also
take place on Sunday.
Deliveries of up to 3 items are permitted
through the lobby.
Deliveries of very large or 3 or more items,
which at the Superintendent's discretion are considered inappropriate to
be made via the lobby, must be made via the West 14th St Service Entrance. Such
deliveries must be scheduled with the Superintendent at least 48 hours in
advance and may not take place on Sundays.
Must take under one hour or "Move In"
rates apply.
Repairs for damage resulting from a delivery are
billed to shareholder's maintenance.
Shareholder or authorized representative must be
home to accept large or multiple items.
